just wanted to say that i love jay's latest album, Still Fantasy! it's really very nice. i actually like ALL of the songs (oh.. confession time.. i didn't like all of jay's songs in the previous albums that i bought :p).
for the previous albums, there will be one or two that i really like, and the rest are just ok, and there are some that i'll ALWAYS skip, because it's too boring or i can't stand it.
but this album. oooh. nice~. and i love those that have the "old" element in it. ok my description looks terrible and stupid but hey, i'm tired! haha. aiyar i like the album lar. period.
to xun and yeewen: yay for still fantasy indeed :)!

Goong & Shinshi Doumei Cross images
UPDATE: i gave in to temptation, and bought Jay Chou's album, Still Fantasy.
...and i didn't regret it :).
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
oh, the craze about Goong.
i've decided to put up some images from the manga that i got through surfing the net. because it's so very beautiful. if you wish to see the human version, go watch the show on TV or google your lust away.
In the following images, they contain Shin and Chae Gyeong only. other than the last one, which will include Yul. so Yul fans, don't call me heartless. Yul's the one with white hair. click the images for higher resolution!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
ok here are some images from this new manga that i'm in love wite. it's called Shinshi Doumei Cross. i love the drawings too.
DROOL WORTHY.

Goong
Why does Hui Lin want long hair: Because she wants to perm it and have pretty hairstyles.
-pouts- :(
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
oh i need to rant.
i've been watching Goong (Princess Hours), and it's pissing me off. especially when i saw the synopsis for tmr. AHH how can that stupid Min kiss Shin?!!! URGH. and Shin GAVE IN TO HER. wth. ok that's it. i'm seriously considering moving my fan base to Yul's side. go Yul! steal Chae Gyeung from Shin!! BGRWAAAARRRHHH.
Yul in the TV version is so sweet and nice. YOU GO YUL.
btw, i'm reading the manga now. Goong. yea. it's very nice. Shin is much more lovable there. and Yul's alright. Chae Gyueng is prettier too. and Yul's mom is a bitch.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
to all manga fans out there, for good english scanlations of manga, you can download them here:
http://www.vnmanga.com/truyentranh/
it's FREE, HIGH QUALITY (only a few of them are a bit small sometimes, the words), and you can find good manga(i got Goong from here). they have a LOT of manga.
to name a few, they have Bleach, ayashi no ceres, flame of recca, fruits basket, FMA, Hana-Kimi, Hana Yori Dango, Hunter X Hunter, Itazura Na Kiss, Kodacha, Magic Knight Rayearth... AIYAR GOT A LOT LAR.
you have to sign up though. they have a "money" system. everytime you download a volume, you have to "pay" 10 coppers(or less. it varies). you start off with 100 coppers. everyday you log in, they will give you 30 coppers. you can gain coppers too by chatting in their forum(it's to encourage interactivity). so in the end, it's still free lar ahahahaha. kinda creative of them i must say.
i'm going to leech onto this site like a... leech.

Does God get in the way of social cohesion?
This is a good article. Finally. Humble people with brains are appearing.
Let me quote some parts of the article that voice out what I have been feeling for a long, long time.
"There is the prevailing conservative theology which calls for conversion of people of other faiths and the claim that they have the one true faith and the only way to salvation," says the Rev Yap, a member of the Inter-Religious Organisation (IRO).
"But no one religion has the monopoly on absolute truth. Each religion can claim to be the true faith, but we don't have the complete understanding, therefore we need to have a dialogue with one another in continuously seeking the full truth."
Rev Yap, for your info, is the former Methodist bishop of Singapore. There's another part I'd like to share, by Catholic leader Brother Michael, also of the IRO.
Says the deputy principal of St Joseph's Institution: "If you have really exclusive ideas about truth, it sometimes can lead to great misunderstanding, that because I belong now to a school of thought that is true, everyone else that doesn't belong to my denomination, church, temple, whatever, is false...that something is wrong with the rest of humanity, something is wrong with the rest of the citizens of Singapore who do not subscribe to my religious belief.
"It's very simplistic thinking, but the trouble is that you're dealing with a lot of young people who embrace enthusuastically with fervour everything they're taught."
Finally, Christians with insight. I'm sorry if I offend anyone by my comments. But honestly, this is what I feel, and have been feeling. Whenever I try to voice it out, people do not understand, or brush it off thinking that "oh she's thinking this way because she doesn't understand us, she's Buddhist, afterall."
Now, I can say that HEY. It's not because I'm a non-Christian that I think this way. There are other Christians out there that can see my point too. So don't label me as a non-Christian, and using that as a reason to explain why my comments do not go hand in hand with your beliefs.
I don't want to say that I'm right or You are wrong. All I want, is the consensus that no one knows the ABSOLUTE TRUTH. Because either the various religions are on the wrong track, or truth is lost through the course of time. And on the topic on "wrong track", how wrong can each religion be, when what is truly important(i.e VALUES) are taught in all(at least the mainstream, ignore the obviously satanic ones thankyou) religions?
This is why my patience runs thin whenever I speak to certain people about religion. I'm trying to learn my lesson and shut up about it, but it happens more often than not that people approach me to join them. And that pisses the hell out of me.
Anyway, if you are offended by my entry, sorry. But your eyes are your own, and this little area on the practically infinite internet space is mine. You chose to read what I wrote, and i didn't coerce you to do so, so complains will not be appreciated. Thankyouverymuch.

Newslink + Prom = SCREAMS
wah, Newslink sucks. i don't understand why the school pays for such lousy service. Sure, it has a great load in valuable information inside. but its search engine is so horribly insensitive, there's no point trying to find articles through it.
i might as well dig through the newspapers that i have in my house. it sure yields positive results faster and more efficiently than that site does.
wow, this terrible experience has sure put me in a foul mood.
and to add on to that, there's something that's weighing my mind recently. nah, it's nothing big. it's just about prom.
i was not excited about it at all, given that 1/2 of my class doesn't want to go. in fact i was rather disappointed. recently, jiali somehow managed to make me feel all hyped up about it. but now, things are falling apart again. people can't go, people can't stay. etc. really man, it's making the whole thing damn sad. i don't feel like going for prom already.
i guess that everyone has their own choices to make, maybe they would be happier elsewhere. without them, prom is going to be so dull. that it won't be enjoyable. and the most important thing, is that these people mean a lot to me. and i guess some part of me is feeling kind of wistful and hurt because they would rather be somewhere else than to be with us, than to be with me, on this supposedly very important and memorable landmark event in our lives(this idea used to be true, until i entered wonderful NJC).
i never thought of not going for prom, especially after buying the ticket(how can you waste a ticket! it's expensive lor). Now, I'm on the verge of tearing it up into Shreds.
it is just an Event. what it means to us, is determined by us. by collective decision, it has been turned into a meaningless chore.

Have water for brains
hey dudes and dudettes, check this article out.
http://www.flatrock.org.nz/topics/science/is_the_brain_really_necessary.htm
it's basically about people who have a particular ailment, causing them to have water in their heads instead of brains (of course the water-brain ratio varies). some die young, some are retarded, some are super smart. (oo, don't your eyes twinkle at the two last words)
i skimmed through the article, read the top quarter, and the last quarter (upper quartile and lower quartile! -maniacal laughter-). too lazy to plough through the whole thing.
cool stuff!
maybe if i got rid of half my brains, i'd become smarter.
one day, blondes would rule the world.

Senior's Farewell. (photoshopped my face)
whoa. 72 photos! unless i missed some out by accident. but for now, i'm too lazy to double check. friends, you can grab your photos here..
i decided to play around with adobe photoshop.. used the one that i took with nuans(i didn't touch her face though. didn't know if she would be happy if i did so i decided to play safe and not to haha) and whoa! boy, how i wish i can photoshop myself in person. ok shall upload the Before and After photos here (with a side by side comparison version too). take a look, and see if you can spot the difference :)!
BEFORE
AFTER
SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON
i suggest you click on the side by side comparison. easier to see.
ok i shall list down the stuff i did:
1) got rid of blemishes and pimples(the usual stuff to do)
2) got rid of some stray hairs on my forehead at the same time
3) got rid of my eyebags, WOOHOO. ok, i admit, i think i look better w/o eyebags. howw?? i'm born like that leh...
4) added a double eyelid to my right eye. (yes i only have a single eyelid on my right one, to all those who don't stalk me)
5) darkened my lower eyelid a bit.. not significant.
one thing i need to learn is how to lengthen or make smaller features. couldn't do such stuff. so yea.
now don't you want to start photoshopping all of your photos too :)?
