Male Restroom Etiquette

this is pretty funny, yet pretty stupid. hahaha.

Ouran High School Host Club has ended, just watched its last episode. i'm quite satisfied with its ending. and the music is really nice, at its climax. grr can't find that piece online.

anyway yesterday i went for a jazz concert at the esplanade by Aya Sekine. very good performance! very entertaining, enjoyable. a noisier type of jazz concert though. there's the electric quitar too haha. i like. :)

Tetsuji!

ok i'm too lazy to follow up on my previous entry, so forget it.

li hom will be at j8 on sunday, 2pm, 3rd storey. aww man. -cries-. so near yet so far!!!!

oh, li hom, there are so many obstacles blocking our path to meet each other. *SIGH*

in that case, may we meet again in our next life! -covers face with a fan and glides away-

oh i love RAIN too. you know the show he's acting in, A Love To Kill, oh, i love the theme song. it makes me feel like crying. so uberly sad. heart wrenching. anybody feel like sobbing, i can send the song to you.

prelims are over, gotten back all of my papers other than GP Paper 2. oh please, may i pass. anyway i've improved in all of my subjects(other than GP). i've done badly for chem, but hey, i improved(though minimally). sigh.

hmmx let's see what's new and hip and happening. oh! jia li cut her hair. it's very futuristic. yep! (jia li if u see this, congrats haha. you are considered hip and happening!)

after A's, i'm going to make the comic book store in AMK my new home. shall just sit down there and read for free. whee! oh the anime Ergo Proxy is no longer up on youtube! damn copyright laws.

i'm going for a jazz concert tonight. may it be good. sigh. what a boring life.

sometimes i wish i'm a star. a celebrity. shallow indeed, but i don't know. the glamour and fame is so seductive. of course, you'll probably fall into the dark abyss and can never return. but you know, it's just nice to fantasize about it once in a while.

ok enough talking. Let pictures do the talking –drools-.

ok first up is a wallpaper of Ergo Proxy. coolness.

ok after this, is all super drool worthy images. he's Tetsuji Tamayama, the actor who is playing Takumi in NANA. super hot!!!!

My Maggies and Better Halves (金牌冰人)

there's this very nice show on channel 8, every week day at 7pm. it's called Better Halves. by hong kong. actually i'm sort of watching it for the second time? watched a bit of it on SCV before. very nice. this is why i dont watch singapore productions.

i noticed that singapore produced shows just lack lustre. whatever mood they try to produce, it just doesn't come true. when they try to make us laugh, we don't. when they try to make us sad, we aren't. (disclaimer: "we" refers to me and my family, at least)

the directing and dialogue is also very unnatural as compared to HK produced shows. kinda sad, really. when the actors in the show start monologueing about their oh-so-pathetic lives, it feels like harsh preaching. when the actors in HK produced shows start to do the same, somehow the effect is different, and i don't get irritated. ok maybe it's just me and maybe i'm biased. hahahahaha.

OH WELL. enough lamenting about sub standard tv programmes.

let me show you the 2 women in my life.

(actually i have many women. how can it be only 2 right? HAHAHAHA)

ok anyway. they are both called MAGGIE CHEUNG! yea. maggie cheung 1 and maggie cheung 2. hehhehh.

presenting Maggie Cheong 1 (zhang ke yi, who is the lead actress in Better Halves)

i think she's really pretty. and talented in acting. and i like the characters she portrays in the shows that she acts in.

presenting Maggie Cheong 2 (zhang man yu, the one ppl usually know)

Isn't she just SO GORGEOUS. ooooooooo~~!! *shivers* and i thought only 05S19 girls are under the category of drop-dead Gorgeous Girls! HAHAHA. if you get the joke, it's because you read my previous entries. well done, my avid fan and stalker.

ooh, let me show you 2 pictures from Better Halves. ooohh look at the first picture. i like that guy! he's called(ericantrmbhisname lemmecheck) aiyar cant rmb lar. go check it out from mediacorp's channel 8's home page :p. he's very charming and cute! and funny. hohoho.

Anime and more Li Hom

i'm so in love with a song from the anime Bleach.

it's called Thank You!! by HOME MADE 家族 (HOME MADE Kazoku). it's so sexy! hahaha. i love the jazz elements in it. ooossshh.

yet again, my idea of sexy might be different from others. hmmx.

anime that i wanna watch:
Ouran High School Host Club(actually i'm already watching it haha. MUST WATCH. SUPER FUNNY)
Saiunkoku Monogatari(also watching now)
Bleach
Full Metal Panic!
Gakuen Alice
NANA
Tales of Eternia
Karin
Vandread (maybe)
Kenshin (i already have all the dvds. i just need to start watching them heh)

Manga to read:
Fruits Basket
Flame of Recca (i read it halfway. or 3/4 through. wouldn't mind watching the anime either)
Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou

baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh. give me anything with bishounen and i'd be happy haha.

oh talking about bishounen, that day i happened to see a photo of this celebrity(taiwan i think). he's called Wu Zun, a singer/actor. he's really very good looking i think. then i realised something, he looks like li hom! hahahaha! hmmmx does that say something about my taste...

let me talk about li hom. my friend(i guess you can call her that after erasing all complicated labels) sat next to him on an air flight!!! OMGGG. wth. she was in business class, flying to somewhere(HK i thnk. or taipei) for business lar haha. then... as she was waiting for the plane to take off, in walks in li hom!! AHH. and he sat NEXT TO HER. aHHH. and he initiated a conversation with her! -faints-. my friend said that he's super charming. SIGHHHH. they talked a lot, apparantly. :(:(:(. ok. i know what i shall do! i'll go earn loads of money, immigrate to hong kong and start taking business class flights within china so that i can get to meet people like li hom! AHHHHHHH.

man, some people have all the luck.

Quotes

...from Bertrand Russell

"War does not determine who is right. Only who is left."

"The secret of happiness is to face the fact that the world is horrible, horrible, horrible."

"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

"And if there were a God, I think it very unlikely that He would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence"

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

...from The Little Prince

"What makes the desert beautiful," says the little prince, "is that somewhere it hides a well."

"Only children know what they are looking for"

"One never ought to listen to them," he confided to me, "One should never listen to the flowers. One should simply look at them and breathe their fragrance."

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"For the rain it raineth every day." Feste, Twelfth Night

...from Douglas Adams(and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy-read the book, it's funny!)

"In the beginning the Universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move."

"There is a theory which states that if anybody ever discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened."

"He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realised there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife."

"You know," said Arthur, "it's at times like this, when I'm trapped in a Vogon airlock with a man from Betelgeuse, and about to die of asphyxiation in deep space that I really wish I'd listened to what my mother told me when I was young."
[Ford Prefect:] "Why, what did she tell you?"
[Arthur:] "I don't know, I didn't listen." The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

"Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun. Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-two million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea."

"DON'T PANIC." - Words inscribed in large, friendly letters on front cover of The Hitchhiker's Guide

"Curiously enough, the dolphins had long known of the impending destruction of the planet Earth and had made many attempts to alert mankind of the danger; but most of their communications were misinterpreted as amusing attempts to punch footballs or whistle for tidbits, so they eventually gave up and left the Earth by their own means shortly before the Vogons arrived."

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a truly remarkable book. It is the most remarkable, certainly the most successful, book ever to come out of the great publishing corporations of Ursa Minor. More popular than the Celestial Home Care Omnibus, better selling than Fifty Three Things to Do in Zero Gravity, and more controversial than Oolon Colluphid's trilogy of philosophical blockbusters - Where God Went Wrong, Some More of God's Greatest Mistakes, and Who is this God Person Anyway?"

The argument goes something like this: "I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."
"But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves that You exist, and so therefore, by Your own arguments, You don't. QED"

"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.

"Oh, that was easy," says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

haiyar there's just too many quotes from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy! SUPER FUNNY. and oh, i love the part about the spermwhale coming into existance. hilarious. it's one of the few books that i can just laugh out loud while reading. makes me go on an endorphin high. but too much can render your brain atrophy. hahahahahaha.

ooo! gossip! today i saw someone. hahaha. and he's with a girl! ok no biggie, but the impt thing is, she's chio! nice dress sense too! goodness. i'd probably jio her too if i were a guy(disregarding character traits for now and just acting on testosterone urges that is). ok i hope they dont read my blog heh.

so long and thanks for all the fish!

2 more days to prelims

take a look at today's The Straits Times, Home page 20. the results for this year's schools' national championships for girls are out. for A div, every champion is from one of the top 5 JCs. well, i guess this is expected based on the way the system works, but i'm shocked still, nevertheless. freaky. and unfair. the "talent" gap widens as we get older. st nicks is also going downhill. thank goodness i was still there during her golden years.

anyway, there's this really funny quote by chun long!! he said this during our elects camp group JTS this year. (thanks to jia li for mentioning it again. i shall type it out in case i forget about it hahaha)

"When I don't smile, I look like a murderer. When I smile, I look like a rapist." -Lin Chun Long

HAHAHA.

reply to tags:

Mel: AW MAN. that's horrid lar. hahahaha. ur mom's so mean! but hey, i think if ur classmates call you that, you should really worry, cuz classmates are usually less straightforward than moms! which means i'm in trouble :p. hahaha. my mom said that i should be glad that i'm not called elephant thighs... yet :p.

dre & yeewen: thanks man, i know. nice nickname right :p. AHHHHHHH :(.

incidentally, i've finally reached my "fat" limit. let me explain. usually i'm super lazy, and i wouldn't want to exercise(other than during PE). but then, for once, i decided to go jogging alone in bishan park on my own accord today! like OMG right?? hahaha. can't believe that i'm so desperate to burn my fats. hope that i've grown taller(FAT HOPE), so that i'd have some parameter to blame on for my increase in weight. heh.

studying is an evil. because it encourages weight gain.
